Since its foundation VDI/VDE-IT assumes a wide spectrum of tasks for the Federal Ministry of Research, Technology and Space. Among these are project managements for funding programmes on innovation policy, the organisation and implementation of innovation promoting measures, concomitant research as well as scientific-organisational support in conceptual questions and issues.
