The ‘Vocational Education and Training’ department is part of the Institute of Education at Osnabrück University.
The research of this working group addresses the foundational and operational aspects of vocational education and training, and of research into this subject area. One of its focal points is the structures of vocational education. This includes regulatory and didactic aspects – for example, for the analysis and improvement of the vocational training system, the curricular foundations, the education and training of staff who provide vocational training, the examination system and so on. The situation in other countries, both within Europe and further afield, is given special, systematic consideration, which allows for international comparison.
