The Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy’s (BMWi) “Start-Up Competition – Digital Innovation” is thematically oriented towards the federal government’s “Digital Agenda”. Hence, issues such as Industry 4.0, Smart Services, culture- and creative economy or concepts of digitalisation in education, health and logistics are foregrounded. The Start-Up Competition is open to all innovative concepts in information and communication technologies. Teams submitting their foundation concepts based on an innovative idea have the chance to receive a cash prize as well as consulting and additional support for realising their start-up idea.
VDI/VDE Innovation + Technik carries out the “Start-Up Competition – Digital Innovation” on behalf of the BMWi – from addressing potential participants, to decision-making preparations in choosing the awardee, coaching and qualifying for the winning idea, networking and the preparation and completion of events (award presentation ceremonies, network meetings, “Young ICT-Economy” congress).
