The Federal Ministry ofTransport and Digital Infrastructure (BMVI) displays its high volume of available data, assembles creative minds and provides 100 million Euro in form of the “Modernitätsfond” (mFund) for promoting innovative solutions in the area of mobility. On these grounds, federal minister Alexander Dobrindt opened his house to the “nerds” for a night. At the second “Data Run”, programmers developed new applications within 24 hours – based on real-time mobility data. At the end of the event, the creation of a shipping assistant for domestic shipping, an idea for free electro-carsharing and an app for finding truck parking spaces were awarded.
