In this Battery Live Talk, moderator Dr. Kerstin Zehbe, VDI/VDE-IT, will investigate the question how to win the race for the best production technology.

Battery production equipment has a major impact on lithium batteries and is one of the factors that determine the performance and cost of battery production. The top battery manufacturers are in China, India, Japan and South Korea. They alone have a market share of around 70%. But Asian manufacturers of machines and equipment are reaching their capacity limits. Here, in particular, there is an opportunity for European mechanical engineering to catch up on lost ground.

We invite you to dive into the topic with us and find out how Europe can demonstrate its strong technological skills and how the entire industry can successfully work together. Let’s discuss which framework conditions are needed in Europe to get ahead in the race for the best production technology. Listen to insightful presentations and participate in our interactive panel discussion.

What will be addressed?

  • One step ahead of battery cell equipment suppliers in Asia: How to get the expertise and access to machines and equipment for battery manufacturing
  • Strategic partnerships: How European equipment manufacturers can collaborate with other companies to build competencies in battery equipment
  • Attractive access to public and private funding: How equipment manufacturers can take advantage of this favorable environment to support their growth plans in the battery cell industry

Participation is free of charge.
