Storage of Access Data
Any access by a user to a page offered by VDI/VDE-IT GmbH and any retrieval of a file results in the storage of access data on this process in a protocol file. Any set of data consists of:
- the date and time of access
- the site from which the file was accessed
- the provider through which the page was accessed
- the web browser used
- the operating system used
- the access status (file transferred, file not found, etc.)
- the types of files accessed
- the name and size of the accessed file
- the client IP address
The stored data are exclusively used for statistical purposes; they are not passed on to third parties either for commercial or non-commercial purposes.
If users on the Internet may enter personal or business data (email addresses, names, addresses), data may be released by the user on an expressly voluntary basis. In such a case your data will also be treated confidentially and will not be passed on to third parties.
Users are entitled to be informed, on demand, about the personal data stored about them free of charge. They additionally have the right to demand, in accordance with legal regulations, that such personal data be corrected, may not be accessed and be erased.
Cookies are small text files stored by the web browser on the hard disk or in the cache of the browser on the instruction of a web server. These files contain information on visitors’ web inquiries or inputs. They serve as reminders for the server.
Most browsers so adjusted as to accept cookies automatically. You may, however, deactivate the storing of cookies or adjust your browser so as to advise you as soon as cookies are sent.
But all the information and data that we offer may also be accessed if the cookies are disabled.
