With its funding programme “ELEKTRO POWER II: Electromobility – Positioning Along the Value Chain”, the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy currently funds 13 projects concerned with electromobility with around 25 million Euro. The programme focuses on integrating e-mobility into the German energy revolution, optimising the electromobility value chain with regard to production, developing inductive charging systems in public places as well as on cross-sector issues in law, security and data protection. ELEKTRO POWER II is part of a package of measures with which the federal government implements the goals set in the national development plan Electromobility.
The team conducting the concomitant effect research – in form of the iit – assists the projects funded as well as the commissioning department (IVD4 environmental innovation, electromobility) by means of scientific support measures, networking activities, inclusion in international networks and the work in cross-sector issue areas. Among the range of tasks one also finds the evaluation of the funding measure.
