In its study “Normung 2030” the iit examines which structural and conceptual adaptions are necessary in current standardisation procedures so as to shape these in an economic, efficient and beneficial manner for all users in the future. Particular challenges in standardisation of information and communication technologies (ICT) within the scope of WTO-conformity receive special attention in the project. The core of the study builds the survey of businesses and other stakeholders who actively engage in standardisation as well as of those using the standards. At the end of the study guidelines for the configuration of future standardisation will be presented.
The Institute for Innovation and Technology (iit) of VDI/VDE Innovation + Technik GmbH, together with Prof. Hans Schotten, are commissioned with carrying out the study.
