“Germany has to continue to play a pivotal role in the innovation-league!” With these words Dr. Georg Schütte, state secretary in the Federal Ministry of Education and Research, opened the symposium on concomitant research for the funding initiative “Research Campus – Public-Private Partnership for Innovations” in front of roughly 100 conference participants. Delegates of all nine research campuses as well as representatives from the political, scientific and economic sectors came together on June 1 in the Berlin Harnack-Haus – a well-established meeting point that has thrived in the midst of an academic setting for the past 85 years.
