With more than 130,000 members, the Verein Deutscher Ingenieure [Association of German Engineers] (VDI) is the largest technical-scientific association in Germany. As a non-profit and independent institution, the VDI represents the interests of the engineers and technology externally. Moreover, the VDI promotes technical junior personnel and is active as a multiplier for technical know-how.
The VDI can look back on a long tradition: Since 1856, it has supported new technical solutions.
