In the context of the Lithuanian government’s state visit to Germany, Marius Skarupskas, Deputy Minister for the Economy of the Republic of Lithuania, visited VDI/VDE-IT’s Institute for Innovation and Technology (iit) at Steinplatz 1 in Berlin. The Minister was accompanied by members of the Lithuanian embassy and representatives of the academic innovation transfer.
The delegation was greeted by VDI/VDE-IT’s executive director Dr. Werner Wilke as well as the head of the iit, Prof. Dr. Volker Wittpahl. Along with iit funding director, PD Dr. Ernst Hartmann, and the director of the European Secretariat for Cluster Analysis (ESCA), Helmut Kergel, the delegation discussed the German and Lithuanian innovation system.
A continuation of the dialogue was set for May, taking place in Vilnius where Prof. Dr. Wittpahl was invited to participate in a conference on “Industry 4.0”
