Seed Paper Instructions

The seed paper is made from recycled material and contains summer flower seeds. If you follow the instructions, you may not only enjoy the colourful flowers in summer, but also do something good for nature.

How does the seed paper work?

Just put it in soil, water it and watch the plants grow? It's not quite that simple, but close...

1. Where should the flowers grow?

We recommend waiting until spring to plant the seed paper. A planting time between April and June is ideal. The seed paper can either be planted directly in the flower bed or in a flower pot. A sunny spot is important.

2 How to plant the seed paper?

Garden bed: Place the seed paper on the prepared and weed-free area in the garden bed. Then cover the paper with a maximum of 1 cm of soil and carefully press it down. Water gently.

Pot: If you want to grow the flowers in a flower pot, fill it to 2/3 with good potting soil and then place the paper on top. Cover the paper with a layer of soil no more than 1 cm high. Press down carefully and water gently.

3. What happens next?

Keep the paper/soil moist for the next few days, but do not soak the soil completely. The paper must first compost and the seeds must be exposed. As soon as the first seeds start to germinate, it is important to continue to keep the soil slightly moist, but a little less than before, as sprouts can drown quickly. Then, when the plants become a little firmer, you only need to water occasionally, but don't let them get too dry.

4. Enjoy!

After a few weeks, your summer flowers should start to bloom. Happy flowering!

The seeds don't germinate, what now?

Unfortunately, it can happen in rare cases that the seeds do not germinate. This may have several causes. Possibly the soil was not kept well moist until germination or the soil used was old and not nutrient-rich enough. Furthermore, planting in winter or early spring is not recommended.
