One of the seminal fields of innovation in matters of mobility is the development of automated and intelligent driving. Starting with early driving assistance systems and reaching to fully automated driving, digitalisation of mobility promises the secure, clean, and efficient design of private and industrial transportation. To answer multi-layered transportation, legal and socio-political questions, the Federal Ministry of Transport and Digital Infrastructure will contribute significantly by means of the funding programme to continuously develop automated and connected driving.
VDI/VDE-IT manages the project and supports the implementation of the ministry’s research programme on automated and connected driving with advisory activities.
