The European Cluster Collaboration Platform (ECCP) is an initiative of the European Commission that aims to connect Cluster Organisations within Europe and at international level and to support them in overcoming the challenges of the green and digital transitions. The platform pursues the overarching goal of sustainably strengthening the performance and competitiveness of clusters. Particular attention is paid to internationalisation and the integration of SMEs into global value chains.
The European project consortium takes on a wide range of tasks, including the systematic mapping and presentation of cluster organisations and their ecosystems in Europe, the promotion of cooperation activities and the conception and implementation of topic-specific events.
VDI/VDE-IT is responsible for coordinating the further development of the newly created ‘Cluster Solutions Library’. Within this framework, the cluster experts regularly draft in-depth case studies that illustrate the close cooperation between European regions and regional cluster initiatives.
