The Institute for Innovation and Technology (iit) of VDI/VDE-IT, commissioned by the Austrian Ministry for Transport, Innovation and Technology, evaluates the Austrian funding programme for Security Research, KIRAS. As subcontractors, the Institute for Advanced Studies (HIS) and the Institute for Empirical Social Studies (IFES), both based in Vienna, are also involved in the project. In six annual reports, the KIRAS programme is evaluated regularly up to 2021.
The Institute for Innovation and Technology (iit) of VDI/VDE Innovation + Technik GmbH holds the overall responsibility for carrying out the evaluation and, regarding context, primarily focuses on the continuous depiction of KIRAS development and the evaluation regarding the programme goals, always complemented by annual focus analyses.
