The health economy is one of the most important economic sectors in Germany. Key element of the programme is the service provision in the stationary and ambulatory sector. In addition, numerous industry sectors such as pharma, bio technology or medical technology contribute significantly to the success of the health economy: in relation to the revenue, most funds are invested in research and development. With the funding programme the Federal Ministry of Education and Research provides significant impulses in order to make risky and complex research successful and to develop research outputs so that they benefit patients. Together with VDI-TZ, VDI/VDE-IT heads the project management and works primarily in the field of pharmaceuticals.
VDI/VDE-IT supports the customer with topic identification, preparation of funding announcements and selection of relevant projects and is responsible for the specialised and administrative support of the projects. In addition, VDI/VDE-IT verifies reviews and evidence, resolves possible issues and manages the financial resources. Furthermore, VDI/VDE-IT processes inquiries of political agents or citizens and represents the customer in national and international committees.
