Most diseases, including cancer and neurodegenerative diseases, have their origin in a molecular disruption of the biological cell life cycle. Current imaging techniques for live cell diagnostics offer limited insight into the in vivo and in vitro microenvironments in which diseases arise and develop.
uCAIR, a European research project funded under Horizon Europe, will enable novel medical treatments and diagnoses through more accurate and faster imaging and analysis. R&D photonics companies and research labs are creating an innovative and versatile photonics platform that will improve and accelerate the study of cells - a laser platform that combines nonlinear optical fibers, optronics, coherent broadband Raman and artificial intelligence technologies.
VDI/VDE-IT manages the exploitation, dissemination and communication activities. It will present the project‘s progress towards various stakeholder groups and bundle the intended transfer of research results.
