Batteriezellen

The battery is the central and most expensive component of every electric vehicles. Understanding the condition of a battery, or even better of each individual cell, is key to optimize the use of this battery. It gives you information on how to manage the battery, how to repair it and how to give it a second life in another application or how to recycle it professionally. But how can we get there? What are the challenges and limitations?

In this Battery Live Talk we will take you on a journey to the future of sensing technologies, algorithms and management systems for batteries.

Dr. Stefan Wolf will discuss the role of Smart Systems Integration for batteries together with five experts: Dr. Lidiya Komsiyska (Institute of Innovative Mobility, TH Ingolstadt), Alexander Abele (VARTA Storage GmbH), Iñigo Gandiaga Ondaro (Ikerlan), Dr. Christoph Kröner (Robert Bosch GmbH) and Dr. Thomas Hammer (Siemens AG, Chairman of EPoSS Working Group Energy).

We invite you to dive into the latest developments of battery management systems with us. Let’s discover what that means for the future of batteries. Listen to insightful presentations and participate in our interactive panel discussion.

Topics:

  • Short presentations on selected projects in the field of intelligent batteries and sensoring

  • How will the battery become smart? What are the future developments?

  • What is the battery telling us and how can we listen to it? What innovative sensors and algorithms can tell us about batteries?

Participation is free of charge. Feel free to share this event with your fellow experts and colleagues.

This special edition of Battery Live Talk is jointly organised by the teams of the accompanying research team of IPCEI European Battery Innovation on behalf of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action and the team of EPoSS e. V. - European Association on Smart Systems Integration.
